In the past few months, I have received four Facebook Friend requests from pretty girls. The pretty girls and I all had mutual friends on Facebook. These friend requests seemed to indicate a worldwide demand for my friendship. They came from exotic locations such as Taiwan, Bulgaria, and even Minnesota.
While one might think that I would be flattered that pretty girls really want to be my friend, the reality is that these girls are not pretty, not girls, and they don't really want to be my friend.
These friend requests are really attempts by identity thieves to access my social network. These thieves found my name by accessing the social networks of guys that I know.
Be cautious of Facebook Friend requests from people that you don't know. Especially if they are pretty girls that you don't know.
